1. Have a professional attitude and mindset. Dress as if you were going to an actual interview.
  2. Be in a quiet area, with no interruptions.
  3. Don’t get too comfortable! Don’t be in bed or slouching on the couch. Stand or sit at a desk.
  4. Wear headphones of some sort, to avoid background noise.
  5. Have something to take notes on, a laptop or a notepad.
  6. Make sure all your other devices are silent, to eliminate interruptions.
  7. Be prepared, have any questions written down before the interview.
  8. Answer your phone on time and introduce yourself correctly. For example, “Good Morning” or “Good Afternoon.”
  9. Don’t talk too fast. Go slow and steady, to ensure the interviewer can understand what you say.
  10. Wait for the interviewer to finish asking questions, don’t interrupt.
  11. Have your resume handy so that you can refer back to it.
  12. If it’s a phone panel interview, be sure to write down names and match them with a voice.
  13. Don’t forget to thank your interviewer!
